Claire Edmondson is a writer / director based in Los Angeles. Her short film, EXIT, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and went on to have a successful festival run, including Palm Springs International, with the Vancouver International Film Festival presenting her with the Most Promising Director Award. A selection of Claire’s work has also been featured as part of Tribeca’s NOW Program.
Claire’s pilot script The Hypnotists was chosen out of thousands of scripts to participate in Netflix’s Canada Pitch Day and she was selected by Ryan Murphy to participate in his Half Initiative mentorship program.
The Globe and Mail have called Cliare, “Canada’s Next Great Auteur”. She has directed 30+ music videos and commercial campaigns, been nominated for a Young Director Award at the Cannes Lions and directed a Cannes nominated campaign, with Shots Magazine calling her a Director to Watch. She has commercial reps in the US, Canada and Europe. Her first feature film City of Rainbows is currently in development.
